DLA Piper’s pro bono program has provided me with the opportunity to work in areas of law that I would not otherwise be exposed to and perform legal work that a junior associate generally would not have the chance to perform. The combination of the exposure to different legal subjects and tasks, as well as interaction with new people, has enabled me to learn and develop many new skills.

Performing pro bono work also offers client contact and critical responsibilities, which can be rare opportunities for new associates. It also allows for experimentation into areas of law beyond an attorney’s daily practice, thus expanding horizons and professional contacts while enhancing the attorney’s reputation among clients.
