Jennifer Feldman, San Diego - Downtown, Litigation

Jennifer is a member of both the San Diego Pro Bono Committee and the nationwide Pro Bono Committee. Jennifer has been involved in a number of pro bono projects since joining the firm. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, she joined the firm's team of attorneys representing victims of the disaster, seeking assistance in obtaining benefits from FEMA. More recently, she has worked with an animal rights organization to bring suit against a dairy calf rancher and the California state agencies from which it sought tax relief for the cruel and inhumane treatment of dairy calves.

Jennifer also coordinates various public service opportunities for her office. She has organized the firm's participation in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure, a series of Habitat for Humanity projects, the St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving Day 5-K, and a San Diego Food Bank volunteer event. Under her direction, the San Diego office has adopted a platoon of Marines serving overseas through Adopt-A-Platoon. She works with a group of volunteers in the San Diego office to solicit donations of food, toiletries, and other care package essentials from our employees, creates a series of care packages throughout the year, and arranges for them to be shipped to the Marines. Jennifer has now established an ongoing commitment with Adopt-A-Platoon, and has helped to support three different platoons, adopting a new platoon each time the current platoon returns to the United States.
