Lewis Conwell, Tampa, Litigation


Lew has performed pro bono work on a variety of projects over the years. He has served as counsel to the Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) in Clearwater, Florida for many years, assisting them with a variety of legal matters. HEP is a full service aid agency for homeless individuals and families that provides housing assistance, health care, job training and placement, and other services. Lew works each month at the Domestic Violence intake office at the Thirteenth Circuit Court Clerk’s office in Tampa. There he assists victims of domestic and dating violence with the preparation of petitions to obtain temporary injunctions to keep their abusers away until permanent injunctive relief can be obtained. He also provides counsel to the West Tampa Community Development Corporation on a variety of matters. This CDC serves as a key facilitator in the redevelopment of an economically depressed section of the Tampa community.
