Habitat for Humanity/Rebuilding Together
Volunteers from a number of offices around the firm donate time and funds to help build and repair local homes and schools.

Volunteers from the Silicon Valley office donated time to hands-on real estate projects in San Mateo County in partnership with Rebuilding Together Peninsula, a non-denominational organization that builds volunteer partnerships to rehabilitate homes and community facilities for low-income, elderly, and/or disabled neighbors so they can live in warmth, safety, and independence.

Attorneys and staff from San Francisco, San Diego, and Seattle offices helped renovate the Treasure Island Elementary School. These volunteers spent a weekend landscaping, painting, and cleaning to bring the run-down school back to life.

The Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices have also supported Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, one of Habitat for Humanity’s 2,000 U.S. affiliates, for several years. In addition to direct financial contributions and significant pro bono legal assistance to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, the firm provided volunteer labor to help finish seven houses being built by Peninsula Habitat for Humanity in Daly City, California for low-income families. Volunteers from a number of other offices around the firm also donate time and funds to help build and repair local homes and schools.

Summer associates in Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia spend one day on a Habitat for Humanity home each summer as part of Habitat's "Buildable Hours" program.

The San Diego office also participated in its local Habitat for Humanity by taking on projects throughout the year.
